Generate Documents from your System Model
Many teams still write documentation by hand even though the information already exists in the system model. SysML v2 and its API make automatic document generation possible. In this workshop, participants access models directly and create web pages and Word documents from model data.
From Model to Document
Participants work with a small example model. They publish it to a server and explore the API. Then they build a small Python program step by step. The program reads elements from the model and inserts the content into document templates. This process produces a structured document automatically. Python is simply the programming language we use in this workshop. It also works with other languages.
Build your own Generator
The workshop covers the full workflow: accessing projects and versions, retrieving model elements, and filling templates with model data. Participants create a simple generator and adapt it to their own use cases. By the end, each participant has a working prototype for automated model-based documentation.
