His focus is on software-intensive and regulated products where software, electronics, mechanics, compliance, and organization must work together. He collaborates with engineering organizations on value streams, traceability, system architecture, MBSE, ALM toolchains, and effective decision-making. He has been writing about systems engineering, requirements engineering, MBSE, and accelerating complex product development on SE-Trends.de for over ten years.
Michael is the author of the upcoming MIT Press book *Product Velocity*. In it, he describes how companies can accelerate their product development without sacrificing system understanding, safety, and quality. Previously, he worked as a developer at Microsoft and on projects with international engineering organizations, among other roles.
